The Writing Challenge Day 25: Think of any word. Search it on google images. Write something inspired by the 11th image.

For this challenge, I chose the word: “Pretending”… Because the writer side of me decided yesterday to make a story about someone who pretends her way in life—I haven’t figured the details yet, but that’s the main conflict of the story.

And this is the eleventh photo in the results of Google Images.

I don’t know if this passed as a photo because it’s a quote but I’m following the rules okay?

Why do we pretend in the first place? Yes, some of us love our lives and we wouldn’t wish for any other life because we’re contented with what we have here… But admit it, there was/is/will be a time where you will pretend to be someone you’re not. Either because for a moment, you don’t want to be yourself, or to impress someone, or to prove someone you can be better, or just so society can accept you… But all of those end up in pretending to be someone else.

I don’t really have much to say about this photo… it explains itself and imaginations run wild with this. I just want to remind you that pretending for a while is alright but pretending for your whole life is like joking yourself. It won’t be a life worth living. It’s nice to be different sometimes, just don’t forget the real you inside you. That that is the real you, not some perfect person the world see.

Being perfect is a hard job to keep up. Besides, it’s tiring and boring.

Enjoy the little things in life. 😉
